Catriona supports market entry clients in the UK on developing advocacy and engagement campaigns, helping to build coalitions of support through leadership and events.

Catriona is an Associate in the Financial Services Practice. Prior to joining Global Counsel, Catriona has experience in both Public Affairs and Communications and specialises in delivering briefs for insurance and Financial Services clients. 

Previously, Catriona was an Executive at Hanbury Strategy and prior to this was Public Affairs Assistant at the Association of British Insurers. 

At GC, Catriona assists clients with their understanding of UK and European financial services by monitoring and providing analysis on recent developments. As well as this, Catriona supports clients with their political and regulatory stakeholder engagement within the UK.

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Supporting a major UK bank to prepare for an oral evidence session before the BEIS Select Committee. 
  • Drafting client notes outlining and analysing recent developments relating to the Economic Crime Bill and the impact this will have on UK Financial Services.  
  • Drafting engagement letters to key stakeholders within HM Treasury and the FCA for an emerging fintech to introduce their offer and highlight the importance of Open Banking.
