Claudia
Fernandez de Cordoba Farini

Claudia is an Associate at Global Counsel in the health and life sciences team. She is also a researcher and scientific advisor for the One Health Team in the Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in the UK government.
Prior to joining GC, Claudia worked in the UCL Warning Research Centre leading a project on preparedness actions for pandemics, particularly infectious diseases. She also has experience working in venture capital collaborating on an in-depth investigation of the microbiome sector. Claudia has a background in Science and Technology Studies from the University College of London, as well as Public Policy Analysis from the London School of Economics.
At GC, Claudia works with clients from the health, pharmaceutical, and food sectors across a range of policy issues including health technology, R&D, sustainability, agriculture, and consumer health policies.
Examples of her work include:
- Working with the NHS on their net-zero transition,
- Leading a weekly newsletter on policy changes affecting food systems in the UK and internationally, and
- Collaborating on a horizon scanning of UK and international health policies to understand and navigate risks and opportunities.
