Damien Sohet

Damien is a Senior Associate in the Financial Services Practice at Global Counsel. As an economist by training, Damien previously worked as Economic Attaché at the UK Embassy in Belgium where he did political economic reporting with a focus on Belgium, the UK, and relevant EU & Brexit developments. Damien also gained relevant financial industry experience working in wholesale banking on the structuring of trade receivables securitisations transactions at the start of his career. Damien holds a Master of Science in Financial Economics from Maastricht University. 

At Global Counsel, Damien advises clients on financial regulatory and policy issues across the European institutions and regulatory bodies.
