Lovtchinova

Katerina is an Associate at Global Counsel’s EU policy practice. Prior to joining GC, Katerina worked in a boutique consultancy in Brussels specializing in reputational risk management and stakeholder engagement. She has also worked with various European Commission DGs and EU agencies on research projects in a leading marketing research agency and has a first-hand experience in EU policymaking, having successfully completed a traineeship at the EU Council’s General Secretariat.
At Global Counsel she supports the EU team in the delivery of regulatory updates, research projects and stakeholder mapping, with a focus on digital and innovation policy.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Providing expert training for a US tech company on political messaging and stakeholder engagement in the scope of track and trace technology for legalised cannabis products.
- Conducting background research on global companies’ approaches towards remote/hybrid work for a survey on the future of work.
- Producing an in-depth analysis of the Commission’s recently published Global Gateway Initiative on infrastructure development and how it compares to US’s Build Back Better Act.
