Maude
Bauman
Maude is an Associate in the energy team at Global Counsel. She has worked for several energy companies and research organisations, in roles encompassing public affairs, communication and public consultation and engagement activities. Specialising in EU energy policies, she has been analysing their most recent developments (European Green Deal, Fit for 55 package, REPowerEU plan, energy emergency measures) and the political drivers behind them. Most recently, she has been promoting France’s energy research priorities in Brussels, following up with the French Presidency of the Council, and contributing to the organisation of high-level conferences under its sponsorship.
At Global Counsel, she supports clients from the energy sector and beyond with insights on the latest political and policy developments on EU energy.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Providing a detailed assessment of the sectorial impacts of the ‘Fit for 55’ package for a non-EU energy business
- Analysing the latest developments on the EU’s energy emergency measures and their political drivers for several businesses operating in Europe
- Advising on the political appetite and market opportunities in EU nuclear for a non-EU business
