Poppy is a Senior Associate in Global Counsel’s TMT team. Poppy joined Global Counsel from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) where she was in the office of the Minister for Arts. Prior to this she worked on telecommunications policy at DCMS and for a public affairs agency, where she specialized on Big Tech clients. 

At Global Counsel she advises clients on technology, media, and telecoms policy in the UK, with a particular focus on data and telecoms.

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Advising companies across the technology sector on forthcoming primary legislation, including the Online Safety Bill and the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill. 
  • Working with industry to develop recommendations to the government for greater public sector digitisation. 
  • Providing advice to a client on their campaign messaging to EU stakeholders.
