Rachel
Lygoe

Rachel is an Associate in our health and life sciences practice. Prior to joining Global Counsel, Rachel worked at a political monitoring company where she produced research and analysis on health policy, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector. She has a BA in History and an MA in International Relations from the University of Leeds.
At GC, she supports health and pharmaceutical clients across a range of issues in the UK including life sciences, R&D and health data.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Supporting a major pharmaceutical company with their engagement strategy, identifying relevant R&D stakeholders and writing background briefings.
- Helping a free-trade zone in the Middle East understand the UK’s regulatory requirements for vaccine production and export.
- Working on a political due diligence project, identifying trends and risks in relation to NHS waiting lists and the workforce.
