Anikó advises investors on the political and policy risks and opportunities of asset purchases, particularly in European markets.

Anikó is an Associate Director in the Global investor services practice. She has more than a decade of experience in political and public policy analysis, chiefly focusing on investment promotion, European integration, cross-cutting issues in international development cooperation and political communication. She has advised senior politicians and policymakers in her various roles in the Hungarian foreign service and the EEAS, working in Hungary, Belgium, Japan, and most recently in the UK.  

At Global Counsel, Anikó supports investors with political due diligence. Previously, she helped clients from the pharmaceutical, financial services, tech and energy sectors and advised them on political and policy developments in the EU and the Baltic, Central European and Western Balkan regions.

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Advising corporates and trade associations on the impact stemming from the war in Ukraine and its geopolitical and economic implications. 
  • Supporting business-critical decision-making of an international pharma client through better understanding and navigating political, macroeconomic and policy developments in 16 markets across Central & Eastern Europe.  
  • Working with a global investor to access political risk in the healthcare sector in Romania.
