Benedict draws on executive experience in media and banking to help clients navigate political, reputational and regulatory challenges in the UK.

Benedict is a Senior Adviser at GC. For more than 25 years Benedict held a succession of senior editorial and executive roles in British national media. His extensive networks at Westminster and in government made him one of the UK’s most influential political commentators, interviewers, broadcasters and bloggers, notably at the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph.

In 2015 he joined Lloyds Banking Group as Group Public Affairs Director, where he rebuilt the bank’s political reputation, with a focus on building trust, strong senior relationships and public policy effectiveness. He remains a senior advisor to the Group and CEO.

Benedict uses his keen understanding of politics and influencing to help firms and CEOs build the effective engagement they need to support the delivery of their commercial strategy.
