Fergus advises clients on public sector technology adoption, health policy, AI regulation and legislative matters.
Fergus is a Senior Associate in Global Counsel’s Technology, Media and Telecoms practice. Prior to joining Global Counsel, Fergus was a Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, where he advised on productivity, prevention, and all departmental legislation. He was also a Special Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Cabinet Office, where he worked across public sector technology adoption, cross-government policy and government reform. Fergus has worked on the policy and briefing teams on multiple political campaigns and began his career at Hanbury Strategy, working with clients across technology and financial services.
At Global Counsel, Fergus advises on public sector technology adoption, health policy, AI regulation and legislative matters. Recent examples of his work include:
- Advising a major AI developer on upcoming legislation.
- Working with a management consultancy on health policy in the new parliament and the implications for their business
- Developing policy position papers for a significant UK technology investor.
