Raihan guides clients through the complex landscape of financial services policy and geopolitics in Asia, leveraging extensive leadership experience in both central banking and the private sector. His expertise spans fintech, payments, digital assets and data connectivity.
Raihan is a Director in the Financial Services practice in Global Counsel’s Singapore office and has more than 20 years of experience working across the public policy ecosystem. Prior to joining Global Counsel, he served with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he led policy and market development initiatives for fintech, payments, digital assets, and data connectivity. He also played a role in steering the central bank's regional development and international cooperation efforts as part of its international team.
A former diplomat, Raihan started his career in Singapore’s foreign service ahead of a stint in the aviation sector with Changi Airport Group as part of Jewel Changi Airport’s planning and airport management teams. Raihan has deep experience in regional geopolitics and financial services, and plays a leading role helping clients navigate Asian markets.
