Dedi is an Associate in Global Counsel’s Singapore office. Dedi has seven years of experience working as a researcher on Southeast Asian politics with on-the-ground experience living in Singapore and Indonesia. He was previously a senior analyst at the Indonesia Programme, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and has co-authored book chapters and refereed articles examining Indonesian politics and economy. He has policy research and track-two diplomacy experience at ASEAN Studies Centre Universitas Gadjah Mada, where he was the lead researcher for Southeast Asian regionalism. 

At GC, Dedi supports clients on regional political and security analysis with a focus on Indonesia.

Recent examples of his work include:

  • Advising clients on political and regulatory developments in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, including tracking emergent issues around digital platforms and data protection
  • Advising clients on risks related to investing in regulated sectors in Indonesia and strategies for mitigation
  • Supporting clients in political, regulatory and partner due diligence work on targets in Asia
