Laura
Casonato
Laura is an Associate in Global Counsel’s EU policy practice. Prior to GC, Laura worked in the Brussels office of one of the largest Italian consultancies, focusing on EU and Italian political and regulatory developments. She also gained experience in a boutique consultancy in Brussels providing strategic advice to third-state embassies and multinational companies.
At Global Counsel, Laura focuses on policy and political developments in member states, with a focus on Italy. She also supports the EU policy team in managing and expanding GC’s network across EU capitals.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Analysing the priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU and implications for businesses across a wide range of sectors.
- Identifying business opportunities and risks in digital, cybersecurity and tech policy in Italy and Spain.
- Analysing EU and member states priorities in the digital up-skilling and re-skilling of the EU's workforce.
