Sussman

Laura is an Associate in Global Counsel’s trade and manufacturing policy practice. Laura previously worked as the Associate covering Europe in a global strategy firm’s Brussels office. She has also spent time as a research intern for European think tank Bruegel and at various news outlets.
At GC, she advises clients on trade, with a focus on the intersection between trade and climate policy in the EU, Member States and the UK.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Working with clients to understand the EU proposal for a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and the different steps that industry actors must take to be compliant with the legislation.
- Providing information on policy and industry stakeholders to help design an advocacy strategy for various clients.
- Monitoring the EU regulatory environment to help clients understand what mandatory disclosures are coming down the pipeline.
