Daniel leads on cross-border policy client work, particularly from a supply chain and distribution network perspective in wide-ranging sectors including food and drink, pharmaceutical & life sciences, automotive, ICT and financial services. 

Daniel leads Global Counsel’s trade and industrial policy practice. He previously worked in leading Brussels and London-based think tanks, notably advising the European Parliament on regulatory cooperation and market access issues, including on the ratification of EU trade agreements, such as the EU-Korea FTA. Daniel is also a Research Associate at ECIPE in Brussels.

At Global Counsel, Daniel leads on cross-border policy client work, particularly from a supply chain and distribution network perspective in wide-ranging sectors including food and drink, pharmaceutical & life sciences, automotive, ICT and financial services.

Recent examples of his work include:

  • C-Suite advice to a UK-based multinational on engagement with senior UK policy and political stakeholders on the direction of UK trade policy and specific trade negotiations.
  • Supporting clients in the development of solution-oriented policy proposals for tackling strategic domestic and cross-border policy challenges – e.g. in the development of modern and fit for purpose product specific rules of origins – In wide-ranging sectors including life sciences, food and drink and automotive. 
  • Developing multichannel strategic plans for delivering cross border regulatory and market access objectives – e.g. protection of intellectual property, mutual recognition of product standard certification and wider regulatory cooperation – for clients as part of wider trade policy and regulatory diplomacy strategies in the UK, the EU and the US.
