Joe advises British based clients, inward investors and investment funds in a wide range of policy areas including financial services, TMT, and retail.
Joe is the Lead Analyst in the UK Politics and Policy Practice and an Associate Director. He spent several years as a UK parliamentary adviser, working for two government ministers. In 2020 he was seconded from Global Counsel to work in the UK government’s business department in the run up to and aftermath of the UK exiting the Brexit transition period.
At Global Counsel, Joe advises British based clients, inward investors and investment funds. He has advised on and led projects in a wide range of policy areas including financial services, TMT, and retail. He has also represented Global Counsel on national broadcast media.
Recent examples of his work include:
- Leading the production of Political Due Diligence reports relating to IR35 tax rules and the UK’s private parking market.
- Producing comprehensive analysis on issues such as medium-term Sino-British relations and the UK government’s approach to the COP26 summit.
- Leading the preparation of several executives appearing before select committees.
