Global Counsel expands US offer as part of growth plan

Following the expansion of our team throughout the last 18 months and the opening of our Washington, DC office in 2020, we are pleased to welcome two exceptionally talented colleagues who will support existing and prospective US clients. Together they bring expertise across the financial services practice, advising clients on topics such as geopolitical risk, financial regulation and political and economic developments. Their combined background in the US congress and politics are a great addition to our DC team and will strengthen the offer Global Counsel is able to provide to its American clients and partners.

Robert Etter joins as an Adviser after spending 13 years in senior roles in the White House, U.S Senate and U.S House of Representatives. He has served as a political appointee of the Biden administration, and now advises US corporates and investors on developing their government affairs presence and strategy in the United States, regulatory developments, and providing detailed policy and political analysis.

Max Mandich, Senior Associate in the Financial Services practice, previously served as policy advisor to a member of the U.S. House of representatives, handling financial services policy and economic issues. At Global Counsel, Max focuses on US financial services policy, including issues pertaining fintech and digital assets such as cryptocurrency regulation.

As we leave behind some of the more immediate challenges of the pandemic, and support clients as they adapt to energy policy changes and volatility, continuing supply chain issues, and much more, we have sought to strengthen our offer both in Washington and on the West Coast. The global team, now more than 100+ strong, reflects our growing capabilities, whilst maintaining our renowned high-quality output.

We welcome our new colleagues to the growing GC team and look forward to them working with clients old and new.
