Tom Wheeler, former chairman of FCC, joins as Senior Adviser
Global Counsel, a leading global strategic advisory firm helping corporates and investors manage risk and opportunities today announced the expansion of its senior team, welcoming Tom Wheeler, former Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as a Senior Adviser.
Wheeler is a recognized expert in telecommunications and technology policy with a distinguished career in the private sector, working in venture capital, strategy development and information services. More recently, he served in the highest levels of US government, where as Chairman of the FCC he led agency efforts related to net neutrality, consumer privacy, and cybersecurity.
As a Senior Adviser to Global Counsel’s growing portfolio of corporate and investor services work in technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), his experience and leadership brings distinctive insights and advice to clients exposed to growing competition and evolving regulatory frameworks in the digital age.
